Android sproutPOS App Update

Beanstream’s sproutPOS continues to grow, with thousands of customers using sproutPOS to accept payments anywhere. With 33% of our sproutPOS customers using Android, we are excited to announce the latest update to the Android app, sproutPOS 3.0, launched this week.

With the latest release, the Android app becomes universal – the same app will work on both a smartphone and a tablet. With the universal app, merchants gain access to sproutPOS’s inventory features, previously only found on the iPad.

Merchants will now be able to make a sale two ways, either by entering a dollar amount or by selecting an inventory item. Users can also reorganize their inventory and categories within the app using simple drag and drops, with updates syncing across devices.

Android users will now also be able to create discounts on a sale, either on an individual item or the total amount. Plus, sproutPOS 3.0 for Android now has thermal receipt printer support for the Star Micronics TSP650II. You can even pair multiple devices to a single printer.

The new release is available in Google Play now. Be sure to upgrade your apps! Don’t have sproutPOS yet?! Check out how sproutPOS can enable you to start accepting debit and credit cards anywhere in Canada.
